Day 3: More Exams!!!

As we stayed up the rest of that night we were building this feeling of excitement and fear. Excitement because we were about to be put into our own squad-bay and receive our real Drill Instructors. And Fear because we were about to face something unknown to us. Once again, Fear of the unknown. We were sitting there just waiting. this was one of the most boring parts of bootcamp for me because we weren't doing anything. Just waiting.
It was just breaking daylight when we were told we were going to dental. I wouldn't have anything to worry about because my parents took us to the dentist regularly growing up. But we went anyways. At Dental we waited forever in the little room with our dental records.  Waiting to be called up one at a time. when it was finally my turn, oddly, a nice woman told me to stand in the X-ray machine. This woman was probably the nicest person i've seen since I got onto Parris Island. She would also be the last.
I got my teeth X-ray and was told that i wouldn't have to worry about my wisdom teeth for a while. Luckily I just got a cleaning done that day. When I was finished I had to wait in formation like everyone else so they could take us back to the empty squad-bay only to continue our waiting game. Our next place of amazement, heard from a Drill Instructor, would be tomorrow at the Equipment Issue, where we would get our Ilbe Packs and the rest of our CIF gear.
